About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Scientist to join our drug discovery team focused on developing small molecule therapeutics. The successful candidate will contribute to early-stage research and preclinical development, supporting lead identification, optimization, and characterization of novel compounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and analyze in vitro and/or in vivo experiments to evaluate small molecule candidates.
  • Develop and optimize assays to assess potency, selectivity, and mechanism of action.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with chemistry, biology, DMPK, and translational science teams to advance programs from hit identification through lead optimization.
  • Maintain accurate and timely experimental documentation and contribute to reports, publications, and regulatory submissions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmacology or a related discipline
  • Strong background in small molecule biology, including assay development, target validation, or pharmacology.
  • Proficient in molecular and cell biology techniques (e.g., cell-based assays, Western blotting, qPCR, ELISA).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and present scientific data clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, or metabolic diseases.
  • Familiarity with high-throughput screening (HTS), lab automation, target deconvolution, or structure-activity relationship (SAR) analysis.
  • Knowledge of early-stage drug discovery and IND-enabling studies.
