Position: FP&A Analyst, AI Innovator

Location: New York, NY (Mostly REMOTE - one or two days in office a month)

Salary: $80k - $100k + 20% Bonus

Global Business Consulting company is seeking an FP&A Analyst/AI Innovator to join their team!

POSITION SNAPSHOT

This role is a pivotal member of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team, with a primary focus on utilizing AI-driven tools and technology-enabled analysis to enhance financial planning and reporting processes. In addition to supporting traditional FP&A functions like planning processes, strategic reporting, and financial performance analysis, the candidate will leverage cutting-edge AI and machine learning tools to optimize workflows and deliver actionable insights. Collaborate with senior members of the FP&A team to integrate AI capabilities into financial functions and drive innovation in analysis and decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Autonomy / Problem Solving

• Requires a balance of independent initiative and collaborative problem-solving. Work independently on routine tasks and be expected to design, development, and implementation of AI-enabled financial models and dashboards.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement, suggest innovative AI-driven solutions, and implement them with oversight.

Strategic Contribution / Risk

• Emphasis on transforming conventional financial analysis processes through the integration of AI and advanced analytics.
• Contribute to Finance-wide efforts to enhance scalable solutions for financial planning and analysis.

Communication

• Engage frequently with cross-functional teams, including direct interaction with your Manager and Directors.
• Collaborate with the digital & data, technology and other members of the Finance team to implement AI solutions and communicate findings effectively through data visualization and storytelling.

Supervision

• Mentor team members on leveraging AI tools and methods, as well as provide training on advanced technologies and process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree or certifications in Data Analytics, AI, or Machine Learning are highly desirable.
• 3+ years of professional work experience in finance, with at least 2 years in AI-enabled analysis or advanced analytics.
• Proven track record of implementing AI/ML models in financial workflows.
• Proficiency in AI tools and machine learning techniques for financial analysis.
• Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) and other AI-driven methods for data extraction, analysis, and automation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Working knowledge of financial software such as Microsoft Dynamics, Adaptive Insights, and cloud-based analytics platforms preferred.
• Experience with process automation tools (i.e. RPA)
