FREE, in-person CNA training program designed to help you gain the skills, knowledge, and licensure needed to become a Certified Nursing Assistant.

What You'll Learn: During this comprehensive training program, you will gain hands-on experience and learn how to:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, mobility, and meal preparation
- Provide comfort, emotional support, and daily care to residents
- Follow individualized care plans and monitor for changes in resident condition
- Create a positive and supportive environment with warmth, patience, and compassion
- Maintain clean and welcoming resident rooms
- Participate in inspections or surveys by authorized government agencies
Class Information: - Start Date: July week 1 (actual date TBD)
- Schedule: Monday - Thursday | Start time: 8:30 AM
- Location: Alderwood Park Health & Rehabilitation - 2726 Alderwood Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225
- Attendance: 100% in-person attendance is required
- Facility staff will assist with state testing and CNA licensure application after course completion
Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must attend registration and commit to full attendance
- Must maintain resident confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)
- CPR certification is preferred but not required

Requirements
Licenses/Certification - Within 120 days of employment, completes a state-approved nursing assistant training program & become certified.
- NOTE: A Nursing Assistant enrolled in a nursing program may be compensated differently based upon the clinical education received.
Experience - Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
- Complete 16 hours of classroom education then complete skills checks for clinical areas for which job expectations include.
