Job Title: Machinist
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC operator to join our manufacturing facility team. The position involves operating a cell consisting of three different machines, which may include mills, lathes, CNC saws, or broaches. The role requires collaboration within departments to ensure all necessary raw materials are available for production. Additionally, the machinist will conduct minor quality control on finished parts and perform first piece inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. The role may involve performing 1-3 setups per shift, with support available from team leaders if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage a cell consisting of three different machines.
• Collaborate with departments to secure necessary raw materials.
• Conduct minor quality control and first piece inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Perform 1-3 machine setups per shift with team leader support.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience (Mill or Lathe).
• Proven ability to perform offsets and tooling changes.
• Ability to read and interpret in-depth blueprints with GD&T understanding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• NIMS certifications.
• Experience with HAAS machinery on the mill side.
• Experience with Mori machinery on the lathe side.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Michigan City, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
