Sinhala Tamil New Year in Sri Lanka has transcended all man-made boundaries over the years, being the most celebrated event of our motherland. Avurudu is a joyous occasion that brings everyone together in true spirit of sharing and caring; in harmony and brotherhood.
BCI Avurudu creates a unique backdrop for the youth to soak with nature, culture and tradition, in spite of one’s personal identity of belonging to different cast, creed or class. Focused on innovation yet deeply rooted in tradition, at BCI, we highly esteem that tradition and culture need to be embraced, admired and transmitted to the next generation.
In fact, BCI Avurudu celebration is the both the signature event of our Campus, whilst the most grand-scale Avurudu fiesta in whole Negombo. It’s a gathering where the whole student body, all staff categories including academics, clerical and non-clerical, supportive staff, and the past pupils come together witnessing the beauty of life immersed in the Tradition.
