Express Service Assistant – Fred Haas Toyota Country
Full-Time | Houston, TX

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Express Service Assistant to support and help lead our fast-paced Express Service Department. This is a leadership-oriented position focused on maintaining service flow, mentoring team members, and ensuring an efficient and productive work environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily operations of the express service department.

• Train, mentor, and support express service technicians to ensure consistent performance.

• Dispatch repair orders and manage workflow to prevent bottlenecks.

• Monitor technician productivity and hold team members accountable to schedules.

• Perform vehicle inspections and communicate service needs to advisors.

• Support technicians during peak periods to maintain workflow.

• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and lubrication of moving parts.

• Inspect vehicles for additional service needs and report findings accordingly.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of main line automotive technician experience.

• Strong working knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.

• Must have personal set of tools.

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and service documentation.

• Valid driver's license and ability to operate manual transmissions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capable of standing, stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Automotive certifications or technical training is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
